Easily my best conversation of the week happened today (with Emmett, my 6-year-old son, in the car).
Emmett: “Dad.”
Me: “Yes, Emmett.”
Emmett: “Let’s hear my favorite Christmas song.”
Me: “Emmett, what is your favorite Christmas song?”
Emmett: “Dad, really?”
Me: “I forget.”
Emmett: “Dad, you know—’Christmas in Hollis.’”
Me: “Oh, right”
