Came home today from a week’s vacation, looked through the mail, found a package containing two books.
My paperbacks!
Not sure it’s easy to explain, but there’s something quite euphoric about seeing your book in a new format. You get used to one thing, used to one thing, used to one thing—then, BAM. New.
Sweetness doesn’t have a new cover, or an additional chapter. But five of my favorite words now appear on the front—A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER. There’s also a quote, from Sports Illustrated, that says, “The best sports biography of the year.”
Anyhow, I’m babbling. It’s a thrill.
