Today’s Sweet Spot: For love of the (book) game …

I wanted to talk about why I love writing books. And, indeed, I do love my job. The digging. The research. The doggedness.

That said, if you watch the video I’m oddly solumn. Why? Because the release date is almost here—and, as always, I’m super jittery and nervous and excited. Through the course of this project, I came to love Walter Payton—who he was, what he stood for. The good, the bad, the flaws. Everything. And now that we’re nearly here, I want other people—readers—to feel that same passion.

Oy. I need a drink …
